The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD

The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker for the original Gamecube went downhill in the reveiws. Nintendo was deeply hurt by the comments of how cell shaded it was, so Nintendo has released a new HD version of the game for the Wii U, obviously called the Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD. The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker is a game where you sail the high seas looking for dungeons with your companion, a boat… the King of Red Lions to be more specific. You use your trusty baton,Wind Waker, to perform catchy songs in order to solve puzzles and change the wind direction. It changes most of the problems from the original game, improving sailing and gameplay. The sailing is two times faster than the original, thanks to the swift sail, and they put a little motion controls here and there. Even though this is the HD version, it only runs at 30 frames per second, causing it to be slow at points. It gets a little laggy when you fight bosses, or when you throw a bunch of bombs and they explode at the same time. In the HD remake you can choose to set to hero mode, which is for hardcore gamers or for people who already beat the game. You don't get any hearts, and the only way to get them is to drink potions. You also take double the damage, so that makes boss battles much harder. In my opinion, it is extremely frustrating to play this mode.We give this game a 9.8 out of 10 because while the HD remake makes most of the problems disappear, it can't be that perfect game everyone has been searching for. Other than that, this game is certainly a legend to be told to younger generations.
