The Carnival
By: Alexia H
Dear AWMS students,
Please make sure to attend the OLV (Our Lady of the Valley) festival this upcoming week! They have rides, games and food. Delicious food. Anyway, make sure to go on the bracelet nights (Tuesday and Thursday). Instead of paying different prices for tickets and worrying about running out, bracelet night is one price and you can go on all the rides as many times as you want! The carnival is Monday- Saturday. If you go on Friday, that is when the 8th graders get back from their trip, so it gets crowded. Yet again, the Bracelet nights are very crowded too, so be ready to wait in lines! Have fun and be save!

The Art on The Wall
On Thursday, April 17th from 4-7 pm, The Windows Art classes had their (5th?) Annual Art show. Mrs. Herman teaches the 6th and 8th grade Windows art classes, and Mr. Maher the 7th. There was a wide array of art, from Sculptures, to paintings, to prints, to even old-school pencil drawings! There was no shortage of talent present in the show.
Although the showing is over, and all the food eaten, the artwork is still up in the library! So if you missed out on the official opening, do not fret! The artwork will stay until the end of the year, so stop by the library to appreciate everyone's hard work.

Girl Scout Cookies Sale
If you haven't had a daisy, brownie, junior, cadette, or senior girl scout knock on your door, don't worry. We have booths at most supermarkets. Hate girl scout cookies, but still want to help out? Donate cookies to the cause the troop is supporting. Most of you think that you are just helping yourself to a $4 girl scout cookie boxes. But as a result, you are giving the troop money to help towards educational trips like a sleepover under the whale at Liberty Science Center.
A girl scout like myself loves to go trips with my troops, and half of the money that we put towards the trips are from the cookies. Also we love to compete with each other to see who will sell the most cookies.
For information about when and where girl scout cookies will be sold go to http://www.girlscoutcookies.org
